Dr. Fritz Perls said, “Fear is excitement without the breath.” He means that the same part of you that makes you afraid of things also makes you feel excited about them. The only difference is that we try and push away the fear and hold our breath in an attempt to resist it with all that we have. If you take a second, take a big breath, and embrace the fear, it will quickly turn into excitement. So, I sat down at my computer, took a big breath, and started writing.
